How to Make Creamy Chicken and Bacon Pie

Seasoned with the aromatic Lane's Garlic² Rub, the chicken breast fillets are expertly smoked to perfection, while the bacon and veggies cook to a soft and savory blend. 3-4 Chicken breast fillets

2 Rashes of bacon, chopped

750ml of chicken stock

2-3 Tsp @lanesbbqau Garlic² Rub

3 Celery stalks trimmed and diced

2 Carrots peeled and diced

2 Tbsp plain flour

2 Tsp fresh thyme leaves

125ml Milk

250 Ml thickened cream

2 Tsp wholegrain mustard


Set to 300ºF (148ºC).

Season chicken with Lane’s Garlic² Rub.

Smoke chicken till it’s done to your liking.

Prep veggies and bacon.

Cook bacon and veggies together till they soften up.

Add flour and mix through the mixture.

Add chopped-up smoked chicken to the stock and bring to a boil. Simmer till the mixture thickens up.

Add cream, milk and thyme, simmer down to a consistency you like.

Let the mixture cool down and make pies with puff pastry and your favorite pie maker.
